AGI announces its next president

The Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) is pleased to announce that
Sharon L. Camp, Ph.D., has been named the Institute's next
President and CEO. Dr. Camp is currently President and CEO of
Women's Capital Corporation, developers and marketers of
reproductive health products including Plan B emergency
contraceptive pills. Previously, as Senior Vice President of
Population Action International, she managed professional staff
involved in lobbying, media liaison, policy research and
publications. Dr. Camp has chaired or served as an elected
director on the boards of Family Health International, the
National Council for International Health, the International
Center for Research on Women, the Reproductive Health
Technologies Project, the National Family Planning and
Reproductive Health Association, EngenderHealth, Management
Sciences for Health and Population Action International. She is a
graduate of Pomona College and holds masters and doctoral degrees
in international studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Camp will join the Institute in January 2004. In the interim
period, AGI is being led by a team of three senior executives:
Jacqueline E. Darroch, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Vice
President for Science; Beth Fredrick, Vice President,
Communications and Development; and Cory Richards, Senior Vice
President and Vice President for Public Policy. Dr. Darroch is
serving as Interim President.
The Alan Guttmacher Institute-www.guttmacher.org-is a

research, policy analysis and public education, with offices in
