In October, an Oklahoma state judge blocked two abortion-related laws from going into effect. The first would have expanded the state’s abortion reporting requirements by adding a number of irrelevant questions for the provider to answer and by requiring the provider to ask the woman a series of intrusive questions about her reasons for obtaining the procedure. The second was a provision that would have prohibited abortions for the purposes of gender selection. Neither law can be enforced until the court case is resolved.
