Amy Lieberman joined the Guttmacher Institute’s communications team in January 2016. As U.S. Communications Manager, she is responsible for developing a wide range of materials designed to communicate the Institute’s domestic research and policy work to audiences including the media, policymakers, health care providers and advocates. She works with staff across the Institute to develop news releases, website content, social media campaigns, graphics and other collateral materials. Amy joined the Guttmacher Institute in October 2013 as the receptionist/administrative assistant. In that role, she worked closely with the communications team to track media and information requests and update the Institute’s email lists. Before joining Guttmacher, Amy worked as a sex educator for four years at various organizations in the New York City area. She holds a BA from Scripps College in Claremont, California, where she studied music and gender studies.
