Anqa Khan (they/them/theirs) joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2018. They work on fielding projects regarding abortion and the state-level family planning network, as well as research on immigrants’ access to abortion in the United States. Anqa’s research areas of interest involve sexual and reproductive health and rights disparities in vulnerable populations, particularly among Muslim Americans. Some of their past work includes research with transgender adolescents at Boston Children’s Hospital and developing sexual education curricula for Muslim communities. They received a BA in biology and film studies from Mount Holyoke College.
