John Thomas joined the Institute in 2004 and works primarily on Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health. In the 1980s, he worked in journal and book publishing at Academic Press, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and John Wiley & Sons. He was Director of Programming at the New Jersey Committee for the Humanities in the early 1990s, and over the following decade was a freelance book editor for Perseus Books Group. Mr. Thomas also developed and wrote an exhibition for the Hall of Biodiversity at the American Museum of Natural History. He has a BA in ecology from Rutgers University and an MA in cultural anthropology from Stony Brook University.
