
Kate MacFarlane joined the Guttmacher Institute as a Research Fielding Manager in 2018. She received her MSc in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2016. Her research interests include family planning, abortion, and sexual and reproductive health among migrant and refugee communities. Ms. MacFarlane has published peer-reviewed articles in journals including Contraception and Reproductive Health Matters. Prior to joining Guttmacher, she worked as a Research Fellow with Cambridge Reproductive Health Consultants and served as Research Coordinator for the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada.
