
Ricardo Mimbela joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2020 as a Global Communications Manager. In this role, he works with in-country, regional and global partners to develop materials that effectively communicate the Institute’s research to key stakeholders, including policymakers, advocates and the media. Prior to joining the Institute, Mr. Mimbela worked at M Booth Health, a health and medical communications agency, where he collaborated with nonprofit organizations to expand access to sexual and reproductive health and rights through strategic communications initiatives. Previously, he was an Advocacy Associate at the International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region, working with in-country partners in Latin America to hold governments accountable to their commitments. Mr. Mimbela received his BA in political science and Latin American studies from Rutgers University.
