As Associate Director of Global Communications, Veronika Cernadas has overseen strategic global communications at the Guttmacher Institute since 2020, leading her team in the development and delivery of products and activities designed to optimize awareness and utilization of the Institute’s international work with media, partners, and other key stakeholders and audiences.
She has held media and communications positions at the Center for Reproductive Rights, the United Nations and Global Health Strategies. Before that, she was a journalist at Reuters, where she covered West and Central Africa. Ms. Cernadas has an MA in international affairs from SOAS University of London, as well as an MA in literature and history of art from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
