On July 4, the Guttmacher-Lancet Commission on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights held an event at the National Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event featured remarks by the moderator Dr. Silvina Ramos, a lead researcher at the Center for the Study of the State and Society, and presentations from a panel consisting of Dr. Adolfo Rubinstein, Argentina’s Minister of Health; Commissioner Dr. Laura Laski, Senior Advisor for Telehealth at the Early Signal Foundation and former Chief of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Branch, Technical Division, at the United Nations Population Fund; Commissioner Dr. Susheela Singh, Vice President for International Research at the Guttmacher Institute; Ms. Carina Vance Mafla, Executive Director of South American Institute of Governance in Health and former Minister of Public Health in Ecuador; and Dr. Leticia Rieppi, a gynecologist and former Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health for the Ministry of Public Health in Uruguay. Following the presentations, the panelists and moderator engaged in a discussion of the report and fielded questions from the audience.
