Jessica Malter, Senior Communications Associate-International
Jessica Malter joined the Guttmacher Institute in October 2010. She is the senior communications associate focusing on international outreach. In that role, she is the primary communications liaison with overseas partner organizations and plans and executes international media outreach and other communications activities. Prior to joining the Institute, Jessica was a communications officer at UNFPA, where she focused on promoting maternal and other reproductive health issues. She has also been a communications consultant for the International Rescue Committee and a press officer for UNICEF and OXFAM America. Before joining the nonprofit sector, Jessica held various positions in the media world, including producer at CNN and ABC News, associate producer at HBO and New York Times Television and production editor at Harper’s Bazaar. She received her M.A. in international affairs from the New School and her B.A. in political science from Barnard College.
