In May, legislatures in twelve states (CA, DE, KS, MA, MI, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI and SC) and the District of Columbia have convened their regular sessions. Thirty-four state legislatures (AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MN, MO, MS, NE, NH, NM, OK, OR, SD, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI and WY) have adjourned their regular sessions. Four state legislatures (MT, NV, ND, and TX) will not convene this session.
