By the beginning of February, 38 states legislatures (AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV and WI) and the District of Columbia have convened their regular sessions. Eight legislatures (AR, CT, LA, NC, OK, OR, UT and WY) will convene later in the year. There are four legislatures (MT, NV, ND and TX) that will not meet in regular session in 2022.
