Rebecca Wind joined the Guttmacher Institute in April 2001. As Senior U.S. Communications Manager, she is the Institute’s primary domestic media contact, and her responsibilities include overseeing the Institute’s domestic communications outreach to maximize impact and reach, and working closely with other staff to develop and implement public education resource development and the Institute’s marketing efforts. As Divisional Budget Manager for the Public Education Division, she manages and oversees budgets for the Division’s projects and staff, working in collaboration with project and budget managers in other divisions. Ms. Wind came to the Institute from Hill and Knowlton, Inc., where she worked on a variety of corporate and marketing communications media relations campaigns. Ms. Wind received her B.A. in international relations and Judaic studies from the University of Delaware; her M.A. in public policy and administration from Columbia University, where she concentrated in gender policy; and her M.S. in social work from Columbia University, where she received the Mae L. Wien Prize, which is awarded to an outstanding student with a focus on reproductive health.
