Samantha Koon joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2025. She previously worked as the philanthropy data analyst for the Institute of International Education, where she received her Salesforce administrator certification. Samantha has also worked in development for Partnership Schools and as an English language teacher for Success Academy. She has experience coordinating digital fundraising campaigns, conducting donor prospect research, and managing development data processes. She holds both Bachelors degrees in English and Secondary Education and a Masters degree in Education Policy from Penn State.
At Guttmacher, Samantha supports the Institute’s fundraising goals by working across the individual and institutional giving teams and leading the division’s data analytics and prospect research processes. She also works with Guttmacher colleagues and consultants to coordinate individual giving campaigns. Samantha is the primary Salesforce administrator and the Asana ambassador for the development division.
