Nepal

The Guttmacher Institute’s work in Nepal has focused on estimating the incidence of induced abortion and unintended pregnancy and documenting women’s needs for modern contraceptive services and maternal and newborn health care. The Institute’s research, carried out in partnership with in-country organizations including the Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities, outlines the potential public health benefits and costs of fully meeting these needs and offers policy and program recommendations to improve sexual and reproductive health in the country.

Hear From An Expert
