Emily Swanson joined the Guttmacher Institute in February 2017 and became a Senior Manager, Grant Budgets & Operations in 2026. In this role, Ms. Swanson supports the Institute's restricted grants portfolio, while facilitating improvements and innovations in the Institute’s approach to project management. Prior to coming to Guttmacher, she worked in the New York tech and start-up world, and this background informs her commitment to improving and modernizing the Institute’s workflows and processes. She holds a BA in comparative literature from New York University.
