The Guttmacher Institute is pleased to participate in Women Deliver 2026 from April 27–30 in Melbourne, Australia—a historic, regionally hosted convening bringing together feminists, activists, First Nations leaders, researchers and policymakers from across the Oceanic Pacific and around the world.
At a time when gender equality and reproductive rights face growing global challenges, Women Deliver serves as a critical space for feminist solidarity, movement building and advancing intersectional policies that center equity, justice and accountability. We are honored to join partners working to shift narratives, challenge systems of oppression and strengthen transnational collaboration in support of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
We encourage you to connect with us at booth B16–B18, and by attending our two featured side events.
Just the Numbers: The Impact of Australian International Assistance for SRHR
Tuesday, April 28 | 18:00–19:30 AEST
Hosted with the International Planned Parenthood Federation and the International SRHR Consortium in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, this session will launch Just the Numbers Australia, a new analysis quantifying the impact of Australian overseas development assistance for family planning. It will present evidence on how investments translate into measurable outcomes—such as women served, pregnancies prevented and lives saved—alongside regional perspectives on how these investments shape access to care.
New Tools for Safe Abortion Advocacy: Introducing the Safe Abortion Calculator
Wednesday, April 29 | 18:00–19:30 AEST
This session will launch the Safe Abortion Calculator, an interactive tool supporting advocacy, policy dialogue and funding decisions by illustrating the health and economic benefits of investing in safe abortion care across low- and middle-income countries. The session will include a live demonstration, followed by a panel discussion with global and regional advocates on how feminist and reproductive justice movements are using diverse strategies to shift narratives, strengthen advocacy and expand access to abortion care globally.
Beyond these engagements, Guttmacher will also participate in partner-hosted events and concurrent sessions throughout Women Deliver, contributing to broader conversations on how research, advocacy and cross-sector collaboration can advance more equitable access to SRHR, including:
