Rebecca Wind is the Director of Operations, Communications & Publications at the Guttmacher Institute. In this role, she is responsible for the effective administrative and operational functioning of the Communications & Publications division. This includes stewardship of divisional resources and oversight of portfolio management, administrative aspects of personnel management, cross-divisional communication and collaboration, staff professional development and conference participation, grant proposal and budget development and reporting and contracts with partner organizations. She plays a leadership role in advancing institutional strategy, fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration, and complementing the work of project managers Institute-wide. Rebecca joined the Institute in 2001 as a Senior Communications Associate, and served as Associate Director of Communications for four years prior to her current role.
Rebecca has served on the Boards of Directors of the New York Abortion Access Fund and the 741 West End Avenue Owners Corporation, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Morningside Heights Housing Corporation. She received her BA in international relations and Judaic studies from the University of Delaware; her MA in public policy and administration and her MS in social work from Columbia University.
