The Guttmacher Institute is committed to providing an online environment that is accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor or cognitive disabilities.

Our Goal

Our goal is to deliver a web experience that achieves “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.1 (WCAG 2.1). Improving accessibility is a critical part of our mission to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide. It benefits all of us by helping to improve search engine optimization (SEO) and future-proof content and promote a model of inclusivity.

We are working hard to achieve this goal. To ensure a seamless user experience, we are focusing our current efforts on delivering digital experiences that will work for all users under all circumstances. This will be an ongoing endeavor, because technology and standards continue to evolve. We are committed to this effort because we value everyone who visits our website.

Areas for Improvement

We realize there are some areas that may still need improvement. Despite our best efforts, we recognize that some content on our site may not be fully accessible at this time. We are in the process of completing fixes that were identified in a May 2023 accessibility audit and pledge to continue our efforts to test and improve accessibility as part of our commitment to enable seamless website use for the entire population.
