Transcript: We want to make it very clear that we welcome all gender identities—but we do need more men in this space. We need more voices. We have to remember that history in America has often made it seem like these are just “women’s issues,” when in reality, this is an everybody issue.

We want you here. We want all identities to feel welcome because we need to hear all voices and all perspectives. If we can inspire you to get involved in this work, we hope that we do—and we’d love to collaborate. There’s a lot of work to be done.

I’ll end with a quote from Audre Lorde: “In our world, divide and conquer must become define and empower.” It’s my hope that we can all recognize that we are stronger together—and that as long as we mobilize and keep speaking up with our full hearts and voices, change will come. We just cannot give up.
