Ava Braccia joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2021. Her research interests include unplanned pregnancy, sexual education, access to health care services and reproductive justice. Ms. Braccia graduated in May 2020 from Fordham University with a BA in sociology and Latin American and Latino studies. At Fordham, she conducted qualitative research to explore the ways in which New York City Housing Authority residence and regulations impacted residents’ health, understandings of community and overall well-being. While studying abroad in Lima, Peru, in 2019, Ms. Braccia directed bilingual survey research to examine gendered disparities in young adults’ experiences of satisfaction in intimate partnerships.
