The Guttmacher Institute and Ipas have collaborated for many years to advance the global research agenda on the incidence, causes and consequences of unsafe abortion. In 2016, the two organizations—along with the African Population and Health Research Center—co-convened a regional conference on abortion research and its application to policy and service provision in Sub-Saharan Africa.
