U.S. Policy on Religious & Moral Objections

Religious and moral exemptions are policies that allow individuals or institutions to refuse to offer information, insurance coverage or services because of their personal or institutional objections. The Guttmacher Institute’s analyses explore the ways these exemptions can conflict with sexual and reproductive rights and negatively impact people’s ability to obtain needed health care.
