1. Vice President, Finance and Administration

    Hybrid schedule (minimum of 8 days per month in New York office required)
    The Vice President for Finance & Administration (VP) is an executive-level position reporting to the Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO) of Guttmacher Institute and will play a critical role in supporting the financial, technological, operational and strategic objectives of the organization. The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking and highly collaborative leader, partnering closely with the Co-CEOs and the broader Executive Leadership Team to steward Guttmacher’s resources and to support the organization’s continued impact. The VP is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day fiscal functions of the organization, including oversight of accounting and investment activities; capital, grant, and operating budgeting; audit and tax activities; enterprise risk; and financial reporting. This includes strengthening technical accounting capabilities within the finance team, and optimizing recently implemented financial systems such as Sage Intacct and Questica. Additionally, this individual will lead all information technology and administration strategies and activities for the organization. The VP will also be responsible for supporting, developing, and enhancing the Finance and Administration teams, fostering a culture of excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement. The position works closely with the Board of Directors and staffs the Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Investment Sub-committee. The VP directly partners with the Co-CEOs to help guide the overall financial, risk, regulatory, and compliance issues of the organization.
