US Policy on Adolescents

Adolescents in the United States and around the world need and have a right to comprehensive, inclusive, and evidence-based sexual and reproductive health services and educational materials. The Guttmacher Institute’s analyses examine issues that affect adolescents, such as the need for comprehensive sex education, the harms of abstinence-only programs, and the importance of access to the full range of confidential sexual and reproductive health counseling and care, including abortion.
