U.S. Policy on Contraceptive Services

Contraceptive information and services enable people to prevent unintended pregnancies and to plan and space wanted ones, thus promoting positive health, social and economic outcomes. The Guttmacher Institute’s analyses examine the need for and impact of domestic- and international-facing U.S. policies and programs, including the Title X national family planning program, Medicaid, the global gag rule and U.S. international family planning assistance
