
Isaac Maddow-Zimet joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2010 and has been in his current position since 2017. His main areas of research include unintended pregnancy, adolescent sexual health and behavior, and sex education in the United States, as well as unsafe abortion in countries where abortion is illegal or highly restricted. Mr. Maddow-Zimet has published articles in the Journal of Adolescent Health, Journal of Marriage and Family, Maternal and Child Health Journal and Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, among others, and he is a member of the Population Association of America. He received his BA in sociology and Iberian studies from Wesleyan University, and his MS in applied statistics from New York University.
