
Lauren Firestein joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2018. Her main research interests include integration of services, maternal health, and inequities in access to care and information. Prior to joining Guttmacher, Ms. Firestein studied maternal, perinatal and child health with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and UNICEF. She has coauthored articles in the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, BMC Public Health and the Pan American Journal of Public Health. Ms. Firestein earned a BA in mathematics from St. Olaf College and an MPH in epidemiology from Columbia University.
